Creating an image
My images are created during a working process and are not the idea of a readymade rigid concept. I try not to evaluate the things that i see from the beginning. My photographic footage is taken from whatever place i am and is not restricted. I scan and choose the collected images as an post process at the computer. Here i decide which images are important. To work on these images means to find the essentials of each of them. Every image is to be seen as an independent picture. Important is the image itself and not the photographic reproduction.
The pictures are composed imaginations based on reality and fiction. They seem to resemble the world we know but at least they have also a disturbing component. They question our way of thinking and our way of looking at things. The photographic credibility and authenticity helps me to create an image you can trust. Places, spaces and scenes remain unknown.
